Meet the Build Team

This sub-team is filled with a variety of experienced and learning members. The team is driven by a passion for gaining knowledge in a hands-on environment, all while learning new skills about building and designing. The build sub-team is extremely dedicated, with long hours spent together creating our team’s robot and meaningful connections, gaining valuable skills to take with them for life!

sub-systems

Sub-systems are smaller groups that make up the build subteam, established by mentors and captains of the build team post-kickoff. Each sub-system, consisting of a leader and additional talented members, becomes responsible for one aspect of our robot after its design has been finalized. This structure allows added organization to our building process, guarantees all aspects of our robot are given careful consideration, and provides opportunities for students to explore exciting, educational leadership positions. 

2025 sub-systems

 Responsible for building the drive base as well as the swerve modules, bumpers, and game pieces.

Designed an intake funnel and pass through mechanism horizontally across the elevator.

Designed algae intake and out take mechanisms, as well as an arm purely to displace algae.

Designed a mechanism to lift our robot to a deep cage with a dog clamp locking system and an arm to pull the cage.

Built and installed a stable 38" elevator, integrating parts from many different resources, including 3D printed custom pieces.

Carefully managed and installed all robot electrical wiring, including that for our swerve drive and LEDs.
